Onderweg doen we boodschappen en zijn rond 10.00 uur aan de Waterfront. Genoeg tijd om cd&#8217;s en boeken in te slaan, alvorens we om 12.15 uur volgens afspraak de heren Hendric Steyn en Pieter Botha ontmoeten voor een zakenlunch tijdens de vakantie, maar wel aan de voet van de Tafelberg!<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">Tegen half vier rijden we de stad uit het binnenland in, gedurende de gehele rit is het uitzicht adembenemend. Ons doel is Aquila Game Reserve, vlak voor het plaatsje Touwrivier. Daar aangekomen kunnen we meteen in een Landrover stappen voor de avond gamedrive. Het is een klein park, dat nog maar kort bestaat, dus geen vergelijk met het Kruger Park ofzo, maar olifanten voeren in plaats van ze op te sporen was ook een aparte ervaring. Het onderkomen is zeer luxe, vanavond slapen we in een bed dat groter is dan onze camper.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cocky.rikers.eu\/ZA2006\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/11\/uk.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-26\" title=\"uk.gif\" src=\"http:\/\/cocky.rikers.eu\/ZA2006\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/11\/uk.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"50\" height=\"25\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\">We leave Kommetjie early in the morning and head for Cape Town, where we arrive around 10 am. Enough time to buy cd&#8217;s and books, before we meet with Hendric Steyn and Pieter Botha for lunch. A business lunch during our holiday, but with Table Mountain for compensation.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\">Around 3.30 pm. we start our trip to the Aquila Game Reserve. During the ride the view is stunning. At the reserve we join a group for the evening game drive. As Aquila is a fairly new private reserve, it cannot be compared with Kruger Park e.g., but feeding elephants in stead of constantly scanning the landscape to find them is quit an experience.
