Dit is een van de oudste wijngoederen van Zuid-Afrika, gesticht door Simon van der Stel in 1685, toen hij aftrad als gouverneur van de Kaap. Na het bezichtigen van het historische huis en de stallen, moesten we natuurlijk wijnproeven (onze neuzen zijn nog rood van de zon!).<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">De middag hebben we gewandeld in de botanische tuin van Kirstenbosch. Daar ga je vooral heen om de vele soorten Protea te bekijken. Deze plant is het nationale symbool van Zuid-Afrika, de Afrikaanse naam is Suikerbossie (bekend van het liedje &#8216;Suikerbossie ek wil jou h\u00e8&#8217;\u009d). Ter afsluiting van deze relaxte zondag hebben we heerlijk gegeten in het havenstadje Simonstown.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/cocky.rikers.eu\/ZA2006\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/11\/uk.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-26\" title=\"uk.gif\" src=\"http:\/\/cocky.rikers.eu\/ZA2006\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/11\/uk.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"50\" height=\"25\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\">Today we visited the Wine Estate Groot Constantia. One of the oldest estates in South Africa. It was founded by Gouverner Simon van der Stel in 1685. Part of the visit was the wine tasting.<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\">We spend the afternoon in Kirstenbosch botanical garden. The place to see a wide variety of Protea.
